Welcome to
HeavenScent Christian Cards Gifts & Books
We are a family and volunteer run independent Christian
Bookshop located in the centre of the town of Oban - a
holiday resort and gateway to the islands. The bus and
railway station and taxi ranks are nearby, also the Western
Isles ferry terminal is close at hand. We
enjoy serving the needs of all churches, fellowships and
people of Oban, the surrounding area and the Islands and the
many visitors who visit our town and now further afield with
our website.
Our History
HeavenScent Christian Bookshop was established in June 2008 when
facilities became available at the Dunollie Halls in Dunollie Road,
Oban. This was the start of the vision received whilst prayer walking in
the town during the previous year and the burning desire to have this
facility for Oban Community.
Further fulfilment of this vision was
realised when the shop that had been originally planted in Kathleen's
heart, in the town centre, became available and the transition to the
now prime site was completed and business commenced on January 2009.
Our Vision
To
establish links with the whole church in the local
community, surrounding areas and the Islands and provide
a service to the public including the many visitors to
the town, and a wider service through our website.
To
generate an interest in Christian Books and Bibles of
various translations.
To
provide an opportunity for people to receive information
regarding Christian Counselling/Prayer by sensitively
directing them to the appropriate source.
To provide a friendly
environment and meet the need of all our customers
